Fall 2018 Thesis
A series of performances around a breakfast table, kinsciousness documents dad, mom, sister, and me : a family navigating the Western world without a road map. Unnamed narrator me uses an assemblage of objects - colloquial American icons - to narrate each character’s individual rush to accrue capital. These four semi-fictional vignettes reveal a permeation of societal norms into domestic space, where family members become obstacles in each others’ paths.
